High School All-American Chooses Fredonia State
The
Fredonia State Blue Devils received some great news recently when
Hunter Critchlow from Fairport High School confirmed his attendance as a
freshman soccer player this fall at the university. Critchlow led his
team to the Class AA Section V title and their first ever trip to the NYSPHSAA Final Four.(see below article) This marks the second year in a row that the program landed a player of the year; current freshman Brandon Schick was 2012 Section
VI Player of the Year. Additionally, Critchlow was named to the NSCAA
High School All-American Team in November. The last high school
All-American to don a
Blue Devil soccer jersey was Blair Engel from Fayetteville-Manlius High
School. Engel was a member of the team from 1998-2001 and holds Fredonia State single-season and career assist records (13 and 24). The entire 2014 recruiting class will be announced at a later date.
