2011 Class has JUCO Flavor

2005 was one of the truly exceptional years for FSU Men's soccer with a run in the NCAA tournament.  In that year two of the key players were JUCO transfers Vincenzo Alfieri and Michael Battisti from Monroe Community College.  The 2007 team that won the SUNYAC championship included Rob Esposito from Herkimer CC and Scott Bergen from SUNY-Cobleskill.  Both were intergal to the that team's success.  This year the team welcomes newcomers Shawn Gist and Barry Hunt from Monroe CC.  Additionally, Jeremy Voigt, an incoming junior from Genesee CC, will join the group.  He was named to the NJCAA All-Region III  team last season.  Let's hope the 2011 class of transfers will have the same impact .  No pressure!
